A stronger and more targeted approach primarily in the oil and gas industry, as well as the wind turbine industry is the background behind owner Niels G. Langerhuus choosing to merge HYTOR A/S with its subsidiary company eptools a/s, and to divide up the business into HYTOR Tools Solutions A/S and HYTOR Fluid Solutions A/S respectively.

In recent years, HYTOR has experienced a growing demand for rescue activities within the wind turbine industry from activities primarily in the oil and gas industry and general industry. Despite synergies across the industries, these markets require a more focused and targeted approach. "We are seeing constant consolidation and acquisitions from our customers, who continue to demand that we must not only be specialists, but we should also be able to supply a larger part of a total solution in the future," says director and owner Niels G. Langerhuus.

Based on HYTOR's mission to focus on the customer, the activities in HYTOR are being divided up into HYTOR Fluid Solutions A/S and HYTOR Tools Solutions A/S, both under HYTOR A/S. HYTOR Fluid Solutions A/S will handle activities primarily in the oil and gas industry, as well as general industry, while HYTOR Tools Solutions A/S will focus primarily on activities within the wind segment.

"The division of activities is not something new to us. We have already partially divided up our sales activities into divisions," says Niels Langerhuus and continues: "The primary difference will be how we divide the way that we communicate in the market, since the activities will now be separated from each other and it will be clearer what we are able to supply to our customers by offering them a more focused approach."

In order to further strengthen activities within the wind segment, these activities will be brought into eptools, which is currently a subsidiary company of HYTOR A/S, together with HYTOR's wind activities, and will together operate under the name HYTOR Tools Solutions A/S. It also means that the activities currently undertaken by eptools in Herning are being moved to the premises in Esbjerg, where the sales, service, repair and hire of popular hydraulic and electrical tool products, as well as generators and complete tool solutions will be handled.

The more targeted approach to the market combined with a stronger product portfolio and competency provided by the merger with eptools will give HYTOR Tools Solutions A/S the right setup to meet customer demands to remain specialists and at the same time be in a position to supply larger and broader tool solutions. At the same time, one division will also have a significant impact on oil and gas export activities, which HYTOR primarily has to Qatar, as HYTOR will be able to communicate its competencies more clearly in a market where we are still relatively new.

A final change in the group structure will come into force on 1 January 2019. The relocation of activities from eptools in Herning will begin at the end of 2018 and is expected to be completed by Q2 2019.

Further practical information will be sent to customers, suppliers and partners at the end of 2018.
